Here is an introduction to the Woodlake Neighborhood Association, to its purpose, and to its people.

Purpose: From the bylaws, the purpose of Woodlake Neighborhood Association is

·      WNA serves as liaison between the neighborhood and local government.

·      WNA provides a non-partisan forum for the discussion of neighborhood concerns of mutual interest. 

·      WNA facilitates the success of related neighborhood groups such as the Friends of the Library, Garden Club, Mother’s Club, and Swim Club. 

·      WNA maintains communication within the neighborhood on issues of concern, including but not limited to: planning updates, rezoning proposals, community problems, variance requests, disposal of public property, traffic flow, public safety, and other governmental and/or private actions that would affect the neighborhood and surrounding area.

Next to the annual social events for the neighborhood, communications and timely education are keys to WNA success.


Boundaries: The boundaries of the Woodlake Neighborhood Association are:

Arden Way on the North,

Royal Oaks Drive on the East,

Del Paso Boulevard on the West (including the North Sacramento Mobile Home Park),

and Highway 160 on the South.


Non-profit Status:  501(c)(3) FEIN no. 68-0193845 incorporated 11/3/83

(making WNA the second oldest neighborhood association in Sacramento)


Officers: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and 5 at-large directors.

(all board members have individual email addresses)


Elections: Held every even year at June meeting. About half the board changes each election - a WNA strength in different perspectives! A new board members may not serve more than two 2-year terms in a row, but can serve again after a 1 year break.


Meetings: Monthly on the first Wednesday (except in July and December) at 6:30 p.m.

Usually at Woodlake Park Clubhouse (check for location changes)

Newsletter: Typically, 6 times per year. Available digitally. Mailed to all houses in Woodlake and to apartment managers (subject to finances).
